East valley crash injures man on scooter

A man was hospitalized in serious condition after a crash between a minivan and scooter Wednesday evening in the east valley, according to Las Vegas police.

Metro officers responded just before 5 p.m. to the intersection of Washington Avenue and North Lamb Boulevard where a minivan collided with a scooter.

The man who was riding the scooter was taken to University Medical Center in “serious, but stable condition,” Metro spokesman Lt. Nick Farese said about 6:45 p.m.
