Woman wounded in Fremont Street shooting

A woman suffered injuries Las Vegas police say are not life-threatening after being shot in the leg Friday night.

The woman, between the ages of 20 and 30, was transported to University Medical Center after being shot at 2540 Fremont St., south of Charleston Boulevard, about 8:20 p.m., according to Metro Police Lieutenant Yaz Yatomi.

Police believe the shooter is a man. No other information was available late Friday.
