Austin Dillon wins Xfinity Series Boyd Gaming 300

Austin Dillon dominated the NASCAR Xfinity Series Boyd Gaming 300 on Saturday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway en route to his first Xfinity Series win since 2012 and third overall.
Dillon, who won the pole in qualifying Saturday morning, led most of the way before holding off a hard-charging Ryan Blaney over the last five laps.
Las Vegan Brendan Gaughan finished sixth.
AUSTIN DILLON WINS XFINITY SERIES BOYD GAMING 300 POLE
Austin Dillon won the pole for today’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Boyd Gaming 300 (1 p.m., FS1, Channel 329) at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The 24-year-old from Welcome, N.C., posted a speed of 184.332 mph and a time of 29.295 seconds in his Richard Childress Racing No. 33 Chevy in the morning qualifying session at LVMS to claim his first career Xfinity pole in Las Vegas.
Brian Scott will start alongside Dillon in the front row after qualifying second with a fast lap of 182.753 mph in his Richard Childress Racing No. 2 Chevy.
The second row will feature Erik Jones, who qualified third (182.636 mph) in his Joe Gibbs Racing No. 20 Toyota, and Ryan Blaney, who finished fourth (182.432 mph) in his Team Penske No. 22 Ford.
Las Vegan Brendan Gaughan qualified fifth (182.359 mph) in his Richard Childress Racing No. 62 Chevy and will start in the third row alongside Dale Earnhardt Jr., who qualified sixth (181.464 mph) in his Hendrick Motorsports No. 88 Chevy.
The rest of the top 12 is Regan Smith (181.427 mph), Chase Elliott (181.385 mph), Aric Almirola (181.311 mph), Chris Buescher (181.269 mph), Denny Hamlin (181.105 mph) and Darrell Wallace Jr. (180.542 mph).
Hamlin, who is filling in for injured Las Vegan Kyle Busch in the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 54 Toyota, is one of 11 drivers competing in the Xfinity Series race and Sunday’s Sprint Cup Series Kobalt 400.
