North Las Vegas police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Friday morning in the 2800 block of Dogwood Avenue.

A 41-year-old man was found stabbed at the residence at about 12:05 a.m. Friday. Police said that before the man was killed, he was involved in a fight with a person he knew, the North Las Vegas Police Department said in a news release Friday night.

The man will be identified after police notify the man’s next of kin, the department said.

Police also said investigators were “not prepared to release suspect information” Friday night.

“Detectives do believe the victim and the suspect were known to each other,” police wrote in the release.
