Popeyes chicken sandwich fight leads to fatal stabbing in Maryland

A fight over Popeyes popular chicken sandwich has led to a man being stabbed to death in Maryland.

According to multiple media reports, a fight erupted after a man cut in line as people waited to order the popular sandwich around 7 p.m. Monday at a Popeyes in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

The altercation continued outside, according to reports.

Prince George’s County police said when they arrived to restaurant, they found a man in the parking with stab wounds. Hew as taken to a local hospital where he died.

The fast-food chain debuted the sandwich in August. Within about two weeks, restaurants across the country ran out of the sandwich, which returned to stores on Sunday.
