Therapy dogs get in the Halloween spirit in Henderson

It was billed as a competition, but all were winners Thursday during a parade and costume contest for dogs.

The contestants strutted their stuff for memory care seniors at Poet’s Walk Henderson, an all memory care assisted living community.

“We have service animals and therapy that come in on a weekly basis,” said Phil Robb, director of resident engagement at Poet’s Walk Henderson. “But this is just something the folks look forward to every year. They love it. It’s a very, very great socialization aspect for the residents as well.”

All contestants took home a “doggie bag.”
