1 hospitalized after crash in east Las Vegas

Updated September 28, 2019 - 8:20 am

A 20-year-old man is in critical condition after his car crashed Friday evening into a wall in the east valley, Las Vegas police said.

Officers were called at 5:32 p.m. after a car crashed into a concrete barrier and rolled over at East Sahara Avenue and Voyage Cove Drive, police said in a statement Saturday.

Small flames erupted from the car but were quickly put out, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Jeff Clark said. Fire crews rescued one person trapped in the vehicle, who was taken to University Medical Center’s trauma unit.

The collision remains under investigation by police.
