Two people were arrested Friday morning after a bank robbery led to a police chase and a car crash in the central valley, according to Metro.
Officers responded to the robbery on West Charleston Boulevard near Hualapai Way shortly before 9 a.m., Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said.
The vehicle police said was connected to the robbery was spotted about 12 miles east near Washington Avenue and Bruce Street about 30 minutes after the robbery. It did not stop when officers tried pulling it over and a short chase ensued before the vehicle crashed.
One person who stayed in the vehicle was arrested, Metro spokesman Jesse Roybal said. Another person who took off running form the car was taken into custody a short while after.
It was not clear where that person was arrested or if the person was connected to the robbery, Roybal said.
It was unclear what the vehicle crashed into and few details were available.
