Man arrested in Las Vegas appears to be popular Latin singer

A man arrested on suspicion of domestic battery at a Strip resort early Thursday appears to be a popular Latin singer, court records show.

Austin Agustin Santos faces a misdemeanor charge of first-degree domestic battery, according to court records. The name matches the stage name of Latin singer Arcángel.

Santos was arrested about 3:20 a.m. Thursday at The Cromwell, 3595 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Larry Hadfield said Friday afternoon.

The singer was seen arguing with a woman he had a domestic relationship before he allegedly kicked her, Hadfield said.

Santos was booked into the Clark County Detention Center but released after posting a $3,000 bond, court records show.

The singer’s arrest report was not immediately available.
