Henderson police mourn loss of K9 officer
The Henderson Police Department on Wednesday announced the death of one of its canine cops.
Rony retired from the force in September after being diagnosed with a terminal illness, according to the department.
“Rony was able to spend his last few weeks at home with his loving K9 family,” Henderson police wrote in a tweet Wednesday morning. “Rest easy, hero.”
It is with heavy hearts today that the Henderson Police Department advises of the passing of one of our own K9’s “Rony”. Terminally ill, he retired in September 2018. Rony was able to spend his last few weeks at home with his loving K9 family. Rest easy hero! pic.twitter.com/jJ8owUnP0i
