An early Tuesday morning shooting that Las Vegas police believe was accidental has left one man in the hospital and officers with a number of unanswered questions.
The victim suffered two gunshot wounds around 1:40 a.m. in a ninth-floor room at Sam’s Town, 5111 Boulder Highway, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. David Gordon said. Three other men were in the room when the gun went off.
One of the men took the wounded man with nonlife-threatening injuries to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
One of the men left Sam’s Town and police are looking for him to get more information about the incident, Gordon said.
Multiple rooms were searched in connection with the incident, Metro officer Laura Meltzer said.
Police have not identified any suspects and no arrests have been made.
“It is unknown if there is any criminality to it,” Meltzer said.
