Power restored after outage at two Las Vegas Strip resorts

Updated July 5, 2018 - 8:12 pm

Power has been restored to two Las Vegas Strip resorts after an outage Thursday afternoon.

The outage affected Flamingo and The Cromwell, two adjacent properties on the Strip, according to parent company Caesars Entertainment Corp.

There were no reported injuries, spokeswoman Adrienne Prather-Marcos said in an emailed statement just before 6 p.m.

The outage was reported in the area of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road at 2:30 p.m., NV Energy spokeswoman Jennifer Schuricht said. Power was fully restored about 5:30 p.m.

A cable failure caused the outage, she said.
