Las Vegas Valley stays hot and sunny this week

Updated June 25, 2018 - 10:34 pm

The Las Vegas Valley will go from hot to slightly less hot as the weekend approaches, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday’s forecast shows an above-average high at 109 degrees. The normal high this time of year is 102.

An air quality advisory issued by Clark County officials has been extended through Tuesday. The advisory was prompted by potentially elevated levels of ozone and lingering smoke from a fire that burned at Red Rock National Conservation Area over the weekend. Ozone can cause issues for young children, elderly people, and those with heart and breathing issues.

Temperatures will steadily decrease Wednesday and Thursday, with highs of 107 and 105, respectively.

Friday shows a high of 101, followed by a 103-degree high on Saturday.

Skies will be mostly clear, and winds will stay below 20 mph throughout the forecast.
