Two men in their 50s were walking northbound on the 2700 block of S. Maryland Parkway when they got into an argument, according to Metro homicide Lt. Ray Spencer.
One man stabbed the other multiple times and fled on foot. The Clark County coroner’s office on Monday identified the victim as 52-year-old Roy Butz.
Passers-by tried to help Butz, Spencer said, but he later died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
Investigators arrested the suspected stabber Monday night, police said.
Butz’s death marks the 84th homicide Metro has investigated this year, and the 101st within Clark County.
