Chance of rain Monday night in Las Vegas Valley

Updated February 12, 2018 - 9:31 pm

After weeks of sunny and unseasonably warm weather, the Las Vegas Valley will experience a brief cool-down and possible rainfall this week, according to the National Weather Service.

A 40 percent chance of rain overnight Monday will lead to a 20 percent chance of showers on Tuesday and Wednesday, the weather service said. The highs for Tuesday and Wednesday are 59 and 62, respectively.

Dry conditions are expected to accompany forecast high of 62 degrees Thursday.

Clouds are expected to stick around until Friday, when skies will begin to clear out and temperatures rise slightly to a high of 64 degrees, the weather service said. Highs for Saturday and Sunday are 68 and 70, respectively.

Lows through the weekend are expected in the mid-40s. The normal high temperature this time of year is 62 degrees.
