Color Run amps up the fun with food drive

Registration is underway for the Color Run Las Vegas 2018, with the theme “Hero Tour.” The event begins at 8 a.m. Feb. 24 at 945 Fremont St. The Color Run, which dubs itself as the “Happiest 5K on the Planet,” is teaming up with Three Square to work toward a hunger-free community by hosting a food drive. The Finish Festival will feature a Grub Garden, with food vendors and outdoor seating, and a Hero Zone, a trampoline photo-op where runners can soar into the sky and capture their #TCRHero moment. Cooking demo focuses on fast, healthy meals

Southwest Medical Associates will host a cooking demonstration from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Southwest Medical Lifestyle Center East, 5820 S. Eastern Ave., Suite 100. Join Chef Michelle to learn how to prepare quick, healthy and affordable meals. Participants will see the meal prepared, sample the dish and take home recipe cards. Free men’s health seminar set for Feb. 13
