Combate Americas’ Nicdali wants to fight on ‘historic’ Mexico City card in November

Currently working as a commentator and interviewer for Combate Americas, Nicdali is aiming to return to the cage when the promotion heads to Mexico City. That fight card is expected to take place in November, and would mark the first time the promotion has held an event in Mexico.

On Aug. 11, Combate Americas will host its eighth fight card ‘Combate Ocho’ in Los Angeles. Featherweights John Casteneda and Angel Cruz will headline the event airing live on UFC Fight Pass.

Also, the promotion will hold open tryouts on Aug. 13 to discover new talent and grow its roster. UFC women’s bantamweight Julianna Pena is slated as one of the judges for the tryout process.

Campbell McLaren, one of the original co-founders of the UFC, is the CEO of the promotion. Nicdali, who trains out of Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, praises McLaren for giving his fighters opportunities to develop their talents inside and outside of the cage.
