Police arrest 3 in connection with central Las Vegas killing

Updated October 16, 2017 - 11:49 am

Three people were arrested Sunday in connection with the killing of a man in the central Las Vegas Valley last week.

On Monday, Metropolitan Police Department homicide Lt. Dan McGrath said Jose Melvin Franco and Dorie Henley, both 25, and 21-year-old Andrew Henley were booked into the Clark County Detention Center. The three suspects each face charges including open murder, robbery, auto theft, and conspiracy to commit murder and robbery.

The victim, who was in his 30s, was found dead Oct. 10 in the street in a neighborhood near Jones and Charleston boulevards. He had injuries to his face and may have been in a fight, police said at the time. He died at the scene.

McGrath said the robbery may have been a setup, and that the man was stabbed at least once.

The Clark County coroner’s office will identify the victim after his family has been notified.

His death marks the 181st homicide Metro has investigated this year, and the 204th investigated within Clark County.
