New information on Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock

New photos leaked online give a glimpse into Stephen Paddock’s room the night he opened fire on the Route 91 Harvest festival, killing 58. Las Vegas police confirmed that photos showing guns strewn across a Mandalay Bay hotel room were real, and that they are launching an internal investigation to find out who leaked the photos.

Police also revealed that Paddock had set up two cameras in the hallway outside his hotel room and one inside his room, presumably to watch police as they approached his room.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal learned last night that Paddock was prescribed an anti-anxiety drug in June that could lead to aggressive behavior. Records from the Nevada Prescription Monitoring Program show Paddock was prescribed 50 10-milligram diazepam tablets by Henderson physician Dr. Steven Winkler. Diazepam, known by the brand name Valium, is in the class of drugs known as benzodiazepines, which studies have shown can trigger aggressive behavior.

Marilou Danley, the girlfriend of the shooter, flew from the Philippines to the United States last night and was met by authorities. Police say she may help investigators determine what motive the shooter may have had.
