Shorter hours to start at Red Rock Canyon near Las Vegas

The scenic drive at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation will start closing an hour earlier at 7 p.m. starting Sunday.

The seasonal change is made to accommodate the shorter days and earlier sunsets that come with fall.

For the same reason, the 13-mile, one-way drive at Red Rock Canyon will start closing at 6 p.m. as of Nov. 1.

The drive will continue to open at 6 a.m. daily, and the Red Rock visitor center will maintain its normal hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
