2 Clark County firefighters hospitalized after battling fire

Two Clark County firefighters were hospitalized after battling a blaze in the east valley Tuesday afternoon.

The Clark County Fire Department received a call at 12:41 p.m. about a fire at a single-story townhouse at 3737 E. Desert Inn Road, near Sandhill Road, department Deputy Chief Kelly Blackmon said in a statement.

Both firefighters faced injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

About 34 fire personnel responded to the blaze. The fire’s cause was unknown and damage estimates were pending. NV Energy Inc. was requested to the scene of the fire.
