UFC’s Gall: ‘If I get beat by a guy people think is a joke, I’ll look like a joke’ — VIDEO

To Mickey Gall, facing Phil “CM Punk” Brooks at UFC 203 is more than just a fight. To him it means his reputation as a mixed martial artist is on the line. According to Gall, losing means he’ll look like a joke.

It’s only the third professional fight of his career, but Mickey Gall has had all the spotlight on him since calling out Phil “CM Punk” Brooks ahead of making his UFC debut.

After disposing of Mike Jackson in his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 82, Gall aligned himself to face Brooks. Since Brooks, a former WWE wrestler, is making his MMA debut, Gall thinks losing to him would mean he’s a joke of a fighter.

Gall was discovered by UFC president Dana White on his online series, Lookin’ for a Fight. After winning his first professional fight in front of White, Matt Serra and Nick ‘The Tooth’ Gullo, Gall was signed to a UFC contract.

Gall vs. Brooks will air on UFC 203’s main card on pay-per-view on Sept. 10th.
