Travis Browne looking for redemption at UFC 203 — VIDEO

Back in April 2014, UFC heavyweight Travis Browne was primed for a title shot. All he had to do was defeat Fabricio Werdum to get that opportunity. Browne lost the fight by decision and Werdum would go on to become the heavyweight champion.

Werdum has since lost the belt and is currently the division’s no. 1 contender. Fresh off a loss to Cain Velasquez at UFC 200, Browne immediately took the opportunity to rematch Werdum at UFC 203. He stepped in on short notice to replace Ben Rothwell.

Now working under coaches Edmond Tarverdyan and Ricky Lundell, Browne believes that he has made the necessary improvements to fight at the championship level. Just days ahead of the fight, Browne spoke about the changes he’s made in his training which he hopes will secure him a win and potentially a title shot.

UFC 203 will take place in the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. Browne’s showdown with Werdum is slated to take place on the pay-per-view main card.
