Police investigating homicide Saturday at south Las Vegas apartment complex

Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday afternoon at a south valley apartment complex.

At 2:17 p.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a battery incident at an apartment complex in the 5100 block of Greene Lane, near the intersection of Hacienda Avenue and Maryland Parkway, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

“Officers located a victim suffering from unknown injuries,” Metro said in a news release. The person was transported to Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center where the person passed away, the release said.

Police said no one has been arrested in connection with the homicide, and no suspect details have been released.

The Clark County coroner’s office will release the name of the deceased once his or her family has been notified.

No other details were immediately available.
