TONIGHT IN LAS VEGAS
It’s Night 1 of the 20th anniversary Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend with The Planet Rockers, Graham Fenton and Lance Lipinsky & The Lovers from 9:30 p.m. to 12:45 a.m. at The Orleans.
Tony Award winner Alice Ripley, one of Broadway’s most respected and honored performers, arrives for a two-night engagement at Mark Shunock’s The Space on Friday and Saturday. The actress and singer-songwriter was a secret member of the all-women rock band in “Sugar,” where she played the role of a housewife to a Republican candidate for Senate.
In celebration of World Rock and Roll Day, Harrah’s headliners Tenors of Rock team up with American Red Cross to donate blood at Smith’s on Centennial Parkway.
Bon Iver and Velvet Negroni headline The Joint at The Hard Rock Hotel. Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon isolated himself for four months in a remote Wisconsin cabin for his debut album, “For Emma, Forever Ago.”
