Retired couple find high-rise luxury at One Las Vegas

Joe and Mary Williamson have owned a variety of homes over the years, but when they returned to high-rise condominium living, they knew they found their forever home.

The couple’s new address is One Las Vegas, a twin-tower high-rise condominium community located on the south end of Las Vegas Boulevard, and they said they are ecstatic about their choice to right-size their lifestyle and enjoy maintenance-free condominium living.

Now both retired, the Williamsons have been happily married for 23 years but have known each other for nearly double that time.

“When my late husband passed in 1984 and Joe’s late wife passed nearly a decade later, Joe and I leaned on each other for emotional support and ultimately, we uncovered a second chance at love and got married,” Mary Williamson said. “We’ve since lived in various big cities across the country and hiked through world-renowned national parks together.

About three years ago, we moved to Reno because we wanted to be close to Lake Tahoe and our favorite hiking trails, but we recently decided it was time to free ourselves from the upkeep of our single-family home.”

The Williamsons had frequently visited Las Vegas over the last 20 years and were drawn to it for many reasons, including the Strip’s big city lights and first-class attractions and access to Red Rock Canyon and Lake Mead National Park.

“We explored multiple high-rise communities but felt that One Las Vegas offered the complete package, including location, a large selection of floor plans, affordable price points and unparalleled resident amenities, such as covered garage parking, round-the-clock security and ample storage units,” Joe Williamson said. “The concierge service at One Las Vegas is better than any other we’ve experienced over the years. The sales team was extremely helpful when presenting us with the property, and our two-bedroom home offers breathtaking views of the Strip and surrounding mountains.”

With a full schedule of resident activities planned for those who call One Las Vegas home, the Williamsons said the only problem they’ve had so far is that there is not enough time to participate in everything they want to do.

“Joe’s three beautiful children from his previous marriage have blessed us with 11 amazing grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and because McCarran International Airport offers more flights from around the country, we fully expect them to visit us in our new home soon,” Mary Williamson said. “We can’t wait to show off Splash, our resort-style swimming pool and watch airplanes fly in and out of the city from the comfort of our balcony.”

Homes at One Las Vegas range from 831 to 2,857 square feet with many floor plans offering views of the mountains and the Strip. One-bedroom homes are priced from the low $200,000s; two-bedroom homes from the high $200,000s; and three-bedroom homes from the low $400,000s. The penthouse, offering 3,000 square feet of sweeping views, is priced at $1.1 million. One Las Vegas is also Veteran Affairs-home-loan approved.

One Las Vegas is close to I-15, the 215 Beltway and just minutes from McCarran International Airport. Town Square, just a few blocks north of the property, provides one-stop shopping and scores of dining and entertainment options right in the neighborhood.
