Luxury benchmark in Vegas $1 million

Q: I’m from California and have been hearing about a lot of luxury homes on the market. Can you tell me what qualifies as far as price for a luxury home in Las Vegas? Are there a lot to choose from in different parts of the valley? How many are on the market?

A: That’s fantastic that you are hearing about luxury homes in Las Vegas and you have excellent questions.

At Luxury Estates International we consider anything more than $1 million a luxury residence. That’s compared with New York City, where $5 million dollars and up is the benchmark, and Los Angeles, where $3 million-plus qualifies as luxury. You really can get tremendous value for your money in Vegas, not to mention the tax benefits. According to the Multiple Listing Service, there are more than 400 homes priced at $1 million or more available throughout the Las Vegs Valley.
