William Lyon opens two neighborhoods

Designing a fresh and lightly contemporary new home style takes more than simply a change of interior decor. It means starting with an architectural palette of clean lines and superior function; one that combines innovative efficiency with evolving societal preferences. For buyers seeking such a habitat; one that utilizes nature in both design and elements — then Brookshire is the place.

Brookshire Heights and Brookshire Estates, to be precise. Two extraordinary communities, each offering a unique fusion of traditional and contemporary style. From the award-winning William Lyon Homes team, Las Vegas welcomes the grand opening of distinct collections of one- and two-story homes.

“With our two Brookshire neighborhoods, we’re once again ‘pushing the envelope’ toward innovation and purposeful change in our home designs,” said Kim Chitwood, director of marketing for William Lyon Homes. “Our reputation often encourages us to follow the unbeaten path, so to speak, and conservatives might consider that a gamble. But our goal is to build homes that reflect both the present and the future needs of our buyers. Besides, we’ve heard that ‘a little revolution’ can be a good thing from time to time.”

The recent grand opening of Brookshire Estates revealed a collection of four single-story luxury homes. At this gated community, thoughtful use of space incorporate the indoor-outdoor lifestyle that William Lyon has turned into an art. Plans range from 3,561 to 4,199 square feet with as many as five bedrooms, 4½ baths and as many as four garage spaces. The homes of Brookshire Estates are priced from the mid-$550,000s.

The appealing exterior designs at Brookshire Estates also offer a glimpse into each plan’s internal character. Large and stately one-story designs combine horizontal architectural features with natural stone and sleek surfaces, complementing the surrounding desert environment.

From the street, pavers on drives and walkways invite visitors to interiors with powerful visual impact. Some make a grand statement by offering sweeping views of the main interior and exterior living spaces in a single glance.

Features include 10-foot ceilings, covered terraces (per plan), Kohler fixtures, granite countertops, tubs and shower surrounds, along with multiple energy-saving and smart home features. Customizing opportunities include multi-gen suites, extended and covered veranda choices, room use variations, multi-slide doors and interior texture selections.

The adjacent sister community of Brookshire Heights takes a vertical turn into three two-story floor plans. Also a privately gated community, Brookshire Heights delivers design that is lightly contemporary and functionally distinct. Homes range from 2,727 to 3,178 square feet and feature from three to five bedrooms and split three-car garages, with pricing from $389,000

Architecturally-sensitive to creating a home environment, all three plans at Brookshire Heights are a study in a fresh way of approaching that goal. Space is designated for maximum living use and utilizes natural light. A seamless, consistent style is complemented by harmonizing every detail — from fixtures to hardware to staircase design and light fixtures. The combined use of natural and sleek elements of stone, textures and steel are grounding and instinctive.

Of note at Brookshire Heights is the functionality offered by all three designs — a bedroom with private bath on the ground level, as well as a covered veranda at the rear of the home. Also included are great rooms, chef-inspired kitchens, spacious master suites with baths, and a generous list of included amenities — from two-tone interior paint to paver drives and walkways. Extensive customizing is available from floor plan extensions and variations to covered verandas and decks.

In new-home designs where shapes and textures take the spotlight, the homes at Brookshire Estates and Brookshire Heights offer plans that will suit the taste of every buyer. Especially when they have the opportunity to create an environment for their unique, personal style through the new William Lyon Homes Design Studio situated in Downtown Summerlin.

Both Brookshire Estates and Brookshire Heights are in a southwest Las Vegas Valley location near Durango Drive and Windmill Parkway.
