Updated July 21, 2019 - 8:51 pm

Monsoon season is rolling into the Las Vegas Valley, bringing with it a slight chance of thunderstorms in the forecast this week.

The workweek will begin with mostly clear skies on Monday with a high near 107 degrees, the National Weather Service said.

Clouds will start forming over the valley on Monday night, and breezes will start to pick up on Tuesday when the high will drop to about 104, the weather service said.

Rain could come to the valley beginning Tuesday, with a roughly 10 to 20 percent chance of afternoon isolated showers or thunderstorms that will last through Thursday.

Wednesday’s high will fall to 102. Respective highs of 105 and 107 are forecast for Thursday and Friday, the weather service said. The typical high for this time of year is about 105.
