Flash-flood warning issued for Southern Nevada

Despite projected sunny conditions, approaching storms caused the National Weather Service on Thursday to issue a flash-flood warning.

The warning was set for 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. for Clark County and Mohave County in Arizona, the weather service said.

Possible flooding could affect Boulder City, Lake Mead, Lake Las Vegas, Hoover Dam and U.S. Highway 93, the weather service said.

Parts of Boulder City were hammered with 0.75 inches of rain in just 30 minutes, the weather service said.
