UNLV roundup: Women’s soccer notches sixth straight victory
The UNLV women’s soccer team tied a school record with its sixth straight win, beating Florida Gulf Coast 2-1 on Sunday at the High Altitude Tournament in Flagstaff, Ariz.
Denali Murnan scored in the 19th minute for the Rebels (7-2-1), and Jenn Wolfe made it 2-0 in the 62nd minute.
■ MEN’S SOCCER - UNLV beat Canisius 5-1 at Johann Memorial Field. The Rebels (2-5-1) gave up the game’s first goal, in the 20th minute, but tied it a minute later on an Eddie Vega goal.
Nick Marshall got the game winner in the 37th minute, the first of his two goals, and Rodrigo Fuentes and Julian Portugal also scored for UNLV.
