Bunt single sparks Loyola Marymount past UNLV baseball team, 8-7

Ryan Erickson plated Tanner Donnels on a bunt single with the bases loaded and one out in the ninth inning to lift Loyola Marymount to an 8-7 win over the UNLV baseball team Tuesday night in Los Angeles.

The Rebels scored five times in the third but couldn’t hold the lead.

Edgar Montes had three hits and drove in two runs for UNLV (15-20). Austin Anderson drove in two runs, and Joey Armstrong scored twice.

In addition to the 5-0 lead, the Rebels also surrendered a 7-5 advantage to Loyola Marymount (22-15).
