UNLV freshman Vandenberg takes seventh in MW heptathlon
Freshman Kylee Vandenberg finished seventh in the heptathlon to earn two points for UNLV on Thursday at the Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Laramie, Wyo.
Vandenberg scored a victory in the 800 meters and finished second in the javelin.
UNLV senior Juliet Summers-Hernandez finished 10th.
The Rebels are fifth with two days left in the meet. San Diego State is first with 19 points after finishing first, second and eighth in the heptathlon.
