Sox starter Julian Tavarez, who beat the Yanks on April 29, is coming off perhaps his best outing of the year, holding the Tigers to one run on four hits in seven innings in a 2-1 win. Meanwhile, Mike Mussina is coming off one of his worse starts, allowing five runs on eight hits in a loss to the White Sox.
