Pigeon targets, knocks down Rays outfielder during game — VIDEO
Not since “The Birds,” Alfred Hitchcock’s classic 1963 thriller, have we witnessed such a calculated and vicious attack by a pigeon as the one that was perpetrated on Kevin Kiermaier over the weekend at Yankee Stadium.
We’re exaggerating a tiny bit here — okay, a lot — but the reaction of the Tampa Bay Rays outfielder when a pigeon flies straight at him following his go-ahead RBI single in the 12th inning Friday night was priceless.
Check out the video below of Kiermaier, whose reaction probably mirrored those of most Rays fans when Brian McCann belted a three-run, walkoff homer in the bottom of the 12th to lift the Yankees to a 7-5 victory.
