Rousey makes talk-show rounds for first time since November loss
A big week continues for Ultimate Fighting Championship star Ronda Rousey.
The former UFC women’s bantamweight champion will appear on “The Tonight Show” and “Ellen” on Tuesday to promote her appearance on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.
The interview with Ellen DeGeneres, which will air Tuesday afternoon, will mark Rousey’s first talk-show appearance since suffering a second-round knockout loss to Holly Holm in November.
Later, she will sit down with Jimmy Fallon’s late-night show on NBC, the same network on which Rousey hosted “Saturday Night Live” last month. Fallon usually tapes his show in New York, but is doing a special week of broadcasts from Los Angeles.
Rousey was unveiled as one of three cover models by Sports Illustrated over the weekend. She has several movie projects in the works, but no fight scheduled.
UFC president Dana White indicated last month he expects Rousey to return in November against either Holm or rival Miesha Tate after they fight for the belt in March.
