Rousey adds to credits with starring role in Tina Fey comedy

Ultimate Fighting Championship fans are still left wondering when they might see Ronda Rousey step in the cage again, but the former women’s bantamweight champ’s IMDB page just keeps growing.

According to Deadline, Universal Pictures has acquired the rights to make “Do Nothing Bitches,” a Tina Fey-produced comedy based on a phrase famously described by Rousey during an interview before a 2015 win over Bethe Correia.

“I have this one term for the kind of woman that my mother raised me to not be. I call it a ‘do-nothing bitch’ Or, I call it a ‘DNB’ a lot of the time,” Rousey said at the time. “She’s a bitch who just tries to be pretty and be taken care of by someone else.”

The phrase immediately took off, particularly after Beyonce played the clip during one of her concerts. More than 50,000 t-shirts featuring the phrase were reportedly sold.

Fey will also star in the film, written by Paula Pell.

The report says the movie is about two pampered wives who attend a camp where Rousey is an intense instructor.

Rousey, who will host “Saturday Night Live” on Jan. 23, has a slew of projects in the works.

After roles in “The Expendables 3,” “Entourage,” and “Furious 7,” she is set to begin filming “Mile 22” and will play the lead in the upcoming remake of “Roadhouse.”

A biopic based on her book is also in development, with Rousey set to star.

Rousey was expected to return to the cage on July 9 at UFC 200, but UFC president Dana White announced this week the former champion wouldn’t be ready to fight on that date. Rousey lost the belt and suffered the first loss of her career when she was knocked out by Holly Holm in November.
