Race 1 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $24,000, Claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

La Chola – Hasn’t been seen since a sharp second at Del Mar; from the top Ellis barn, he could bounce back in here.

Get the Money – Dead late closer won, but is dropped in class today; repeat race gets her photo taken again.

Long Shot – Happy Celyna

Race 2 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $54,000, Allowance, 3-year-olds and up

Buzzards Bay – Ran miserably in the San Diego, but we know he’s a lot better than thst; returns to Cushion track.

Siren Lure – Good sprinter stretching out will need to answer the distance question; will enjoy the slower pace.

Long Shot – Corey County

Race 3 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $28,000, Claiming $32,000, 2-year-olds

Dark Vadar – One of the few wire to wire winners at the Del Mar meet; been rested since, will be fair odds.

Johnny Smith –Tepid chalk won first time off the claim for Monteleone; main question is if he can stay sharp.

Long Shot – Bayngen Bartok

Race 4 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 30 feet), Purse $45,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up

Jupiter’s Stone – I’ve picked him before, and he’s yet to win; another ground saving trip in a paceless race.

Palladian General – Wide post will be hindered further by the turf rail out 30 feet; has been moving forward.

Long Shot – Royal Vision

Race 5 – 6 furlongs, Purse $30,000, Maiden claiming $100,000, 2-year-olds

Arabian Cheetah – Did a classic pop and stop in career debut at Del Mar; Cushion track has been kinder to speed.

Nativity Prep – Mullins cull taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to claiming; adding blinkers on.

Long Shot – Media Man

Race 6 – 6 furlongs, Purse $16,000, Claiming $16,000, 3-year-olds

Asteri – Got a perfect patient ground saving ride by Garcia; jock has come a long way since struggling last spring.

Somthintomakimrun – Speedball is the most logical wire to wire upsetter; simple tactics of speed from the get go.

Long Shot – Speedy Swiss

Race 7 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 30 feet), Purse $45,000, Optional claiming $80,000, 3-year-olds

Buc the Spartan – Been away 4-months, also turning back in distance from grass routes; been working well for return.

T’aint War Sir – Like the turn back in turf distance for going down the hill; saves ground and fires fast late.

Long Shot – Chief Teddybear

Race 8 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $15,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds

High Investment – Game second at Fairplex in first good race of his life; may be a late bloomer at a square price.

Lutyens – Logical chalk got a dream trip and ride in last, and still lost; I swear he pulled himself up at the wire.

Long Shot – Capi and Max
