Unusual Suspect – Has done more on turf than most of these combined; will sit midpack and rally late.

Scat Thief – Guillot regroups after a couple failed stakes races facing much tougher; sits and rallies.

Long Shot – Gweebarra

Race 3 – 1 1/16th miles, $100,000 Hawthorne Handicap, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

Cantabria – Frankel filly is starting to scratch the surface of her vast potential; the one to beat.

Ballado’s Thunder – Sharp win in the softer Santa Lucia in Arcadia; interesting ride for Nakatani.

Long Shot – Pyramid Love

Beau Smoke – Ran a cropper in last as a beaten chalk; chance to rebound under Nakatani urging.

California Flag – O’Neill adding blinkers on for this try; stop and pop in debut, even more speed?
