(Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports) The NBA playoffs and Steph Curry’s daughter joining in on press conferences weren’t the only things happening in the sports world this week. In fact, a handful of athletes with Las Vegas ties made sports headlines this week — all in the baseball world. Las Vegans Bryce Harper and Kris Bryant faced off in the major leagues for the first time this week when the Washington Nationals paid a visit to the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. The Nationals took the series 2-1 and both Harper and Bryant smashed home runs out of the park. The two also sat down for a joint interview with ESPN. Former 51s pitcher Noah Syndergaard, now suiting up for the New York Mets, also got in on the home run action when he hammered his first major league home run on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
