Who are the other ‘Knights’ teams out there?
With the announcement of Las Vegas’s NHL team name becoming official — Vegas Golden Knights — on Tuesday night, it got us thinking about what other “Knights” are actually out there.
Here’s a look at the other Knights teams:
KNIGHT TEAMS
Army Black Knights: The Army Black Knights represent the United States Military Academy, where Golden Knights owner Bill Foley attended, and is in West Point, New York
London Knights: The London Knights are a junior hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League and are based in London, Ontario, Canada.
Rutgers Scarlet Knights: Rutgers University’s mascot is Scarlet Knights and the school is in Piscataway, N.J.
Charlotte Knights: The Charlotte Knights are a minor league baseball team in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Central Florida Knights: The University of Central Florida is known as the Knights. UCF is a public research university in Orlando, Florida.
GOLDEN TEAMS
Golden State Warriors: The Golden State Warriors are an NBA team in Oakland, California.
Minnesota Golden Gophers: The University of Minnesota athletic teams are known as the Golden Gophers. The university is in Minneapolis.
Tulsa Golden Hurricane: The University of Tulsa teams are also known as the Golden Hurricane. Yes, singular. The school is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Clarkson Golden Knights: Clarkson University is a private research university and it’s located in Potsdam, New York.
