Golden Knights owner, AHL team donate additional $200K to victims

Golden Knights owner Bill Foley’s charity organization has partnered with the team’s American Hockey League affiliate Thursday to donate an additional $200,000 to support the victims and first responders in Sunday’s shooting on the Las Vegas Strip.

The Foley Family Charitable Foundation and Chicago Wolves of the AHL each contributed $100,000.

The Vegas Golden Knights Foundation, Foley Family Charitable Foundation, Chicago Wolves and NHL have combined to donate $500,000 toward relief efforts.

The NHL is honoring the 58 people killed and nearly 500 injured at the Route 91 Harvest festival during this week’s season-opening games.

The Golden Knights play their first game Friday at Dallas.
