Early runs ignite Silverado

Silverado High School scored three runs in the top of the first inning with the help of three Green Valley errors en route to a 4-2 softball victory over the host Gators on Thursday.

Amanda Edmonson’s RBI triple highlighted the first for the Skyhawks.

Katie Devlin pitched the distance to get the victory, allowing one earned run on two hits with four strikeouts.

Hazel Lowrey had two singles for Silverado.

Legacy 3, Palo Verde 2 — At Legacy, Kyla Murray hit an RBI double with two outs in the bottom of the eighth to give the Longhorns the victory over the Panthers.

Legacy’s Brianna Zamorano went 2-for-4 with a double, and Kaylan Hanson hit a triple for the Longhorns.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Page Savage had a two-run single in the top of the fourth and Jennifer Liddell pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts to lead the Spartans over the Mustangs.

Shadow Ridge’s Mandy Harmon pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts, and Rayna Bradshaw was 2-for-2 for the Mustangs.

Mojave 5, Cheyenne 1 — At Mojave, Jessica Harbauer threw a one-hitter with five strikeouts as the Rattlers downed the Desert Shields.

Mojave’s Brianna Moore and Chris Webber each had an RBI single to highlight the Rattlers’ three-run second inning.

Coronado 6, Basic 4 — At Basic, the Cougars rallied for six runs in the top of the seventh to defeat the Wolves.

Sarah Detwiler was 2-for-4 with a home run and Tristina Shibata went 2-for-4 for the Cougars. Basic’s Megan Feher went 3-for-4 and Aaren Fisher went 2-for-4 with a double.

Bonanza 12, Bishop Gorman 4 — At Bonanza, Brianna Huskie went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Courtney Bauder was 3-for-5 as the Bengals defeated the Gaels.

Hayley Atiyeh and Allison Vitangeli each hit a double for Bishop Gorman.

Liberty 12, Vo-Tech 0 — At Vo-Tech, Kristina Foti was 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run, three RBIs and three runs as the Patriots beat the Roadrunners in five innings.

Danielle Brock threw a three-hitter with five strikeouts to get the victory.

Centennial 12, Arbor View 0 — At Centennial, Lauren Lynds and Katie Lee combined to pitch a two-hitter as the Bulldogs cruised past the Aggies in five innings.

Bre Egge was 3-for-3 with two triples, a double and two RBIs and Johnna Brown went 2-for-3 with a double, triple and two runs for Centennial.

Foothill 9, Del Sol 3 — At Del Sol, Shantel Straily went 3-for-4 with a run and two RBIs to lead the Falcons over the Dragons.

Jessica Meuir was 3-for-3 for Del Sol.
