Eagles claim golf crown

Spencer Montgomery shot par 71 to lead Boulder City to the Class 3A Southern League golf championship Friday.

The Eagles shot 395, seven strokes ahead of Faith Lutheran and Virgin Valley.

Boulder City’s Dusty Craddock was second individually with a 75.

BASEBALL

Faith Lutheran 12 Pahrump Valley 4 — At Pahrump, Adam Jones was 3-for-5 with two runs to lead the Crusaders.

The win puts Faith Lutheran in the Class 3A Southern League title game against Pahrump at 10 a.m. today. If Pahrump wins, a second game would be played at 12:30 p.m.

Calvary Chapel 16, Tonopah 3 — At Tonopah, Cameron Harper was 3-for-3 with four RBIs and threw a three-hitter with nine strikeouts to lead the Lions in the Class 1A Southern Regional.

Calvary Chapel 10, Laughlin 0 — At Tonopah, Joey Criscullo went 5-for-6 with four runs to lead the Lions.

SOFTBALL

Lake Mead 15, Laughlin 4 — At Tonopah, Lake Mead’s Jordan Strong went 2-for-2 with two doubles and three RBIs and Rachel Henson went 2-for-2 with three RBIs as the Eagles defeated Laughlin in the Class 1A Southern Regional.

Lake Mead’s Jenna Willis was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and Amanda Wellman 3-for-3.

Pahranagat Valley 5, Lake Mead 0 — At Tonopah, Lauren Leavitt threw a complete game shutout and hit a home run to lead the Panthers.
