Coronado scores two runs in seventh, blanks Silverado

Berlynn Bagley and Sarah Detwiler had back-to-back RBI singles in the seventh inning Friday to lift Coronado’s softball team to a 2-0 road victory over Silverado.

The Cougars’ Tristina Shibata pitched the distance, allowing three hits and striking out seven. She also went 2-for-4.

Katie Devlin, who struck out six in pitching a six-hitter, took the loss for the Skyhawks.

Cimarron-Memorial 2, Arbor View 1 — At Cimarron, the Spartans rallied with two outs in the seventh inning to beat the Aggies.

Arbor View led after scoring a run in the first, but Cimarron rallied when back-to-back doubles by Chelsea Williams and Jennifer Liddell drove in the tying and winning runs.

Liddell, who struck out 11 in tossing a one-hitter, went 2-for-4 to lead the offense.

Foothill 15, Liberty 2 — At Liberty, Foothill’s Shantel Straily pitched a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts to lead the Falcons over the Patriots.

Straily went 3-for-4 with a home run, five RBIs and four runs. Foothill’s Chelsae Richards was 2-for-4 with three runs and an RBI.

Shadow Ridge 14, Mojave 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Olive Naotala went 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs and got the victory in the Mustangs’ five-inning win.

Vanessa Simmons was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs and Leah Jones hit three singles for Shadow Ridge.

Cheyenne 11, Legacy 1 — At Cheyenne, Heather Ludwig went 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI to help the Desert Shields over the Longhorns.

Alexis Gallindo pitched a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts to get the victory, and teammate Camille Gilmore had two hits.

Green Valley 17, Vo-Tech 2 — At Vo-Tech, Breanna Yard had a double, home run and five RBIs to lead the Gators to victory.

Ariel Espinoza went 2-for-2 with two singles for the Roadrunners.

Basic 15, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Aaron Fisher went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs and an RBI to lead the Wolves to the five-inning victory.

Megan Feher went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs and was the winning pitcher. She allowed three hits and struck out five.

Centennial 7, Palo Verde 2 — At Palo Verde, Teresa Healy was 3-for-4 with three RBIs to lead the Bulldogs past the Panthers.

Bre Egge hit a double and a triple for Centennial, and Jennifer Johnson pitched a four-hitter.

Lauren Stover was 2-for-4 for Palo Verde.

Pahranagat Valley 11-9, Mountain View 1-1 — At Alamo, the Panthers swept the Saints, who committed 18 errors in the two games.
