BOXING: WILLIAMS DOMINATES WRIGHT

Paul Williams easily defeated Winky Wright tonight at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, winning a unanimous decision in a middleweight fight.

Judges Jerry Roth and Robert Hoyle scored the fight 119-109, and Adalaide Byrd had it 120-108 — all 12 rounds to Williams. Williams threw 1,086 punches compared with 511 for Wright. There was no title on the line.
