1 Quietasacat – Was flattered when Merit Man won on Saturday; almost overcame a poor start to win his debut race.
2 Wild Dude – Flattered when Goldencents ran a strong second in the Champagne at Belmont Park; will graduate soon.
Long Shot – 6 Super Ninety Nine
Race 2 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $47,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 2-year-olds
6 Jerry’shoneycarol – Gets class relief from a stakes for this MSW; like the cut back in distance for this.
11 Controlled Chaos – Parking lot post is an advantage down the hillside turf course; showed improvement for Dallas Keen.
Long Shot – 2 Exchange Student
Race 3 – 6 1/2 furlongs, $100,000 L.A. Woman, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
2 Winding Way – Had her closest call last time; key is she won her third straight start while racing her B game.
1 Rumor – Her edge will be a solid resume her at Santa Anita; tactical speed to sit a nice trip in this quartet.
Long Shot – 3 Great Hot
Race 4 – 6 furlongs, Purse $25,000, Claiming $20,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
6 Miss Oops – Small edge due to a strong dirt resume; been claimed five times in the last six races.
4 Naughty Mariana – Solid return in last off a 15 month hiatus; strong Santa Anita resume, has good early speed too.
Long Shot – 3 Fifth Commandment
Race 5 – 1 mile (turf), Purse $35,000, Claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds and up
6 Euroglide – Veteran has run in the money 8-of-11 turf starts at Santa Anita; a mile may be his best distance too.
5 Megastar – Dead late closer should see a contested early pace; Jose Valdivia, Jr. will sit in arrears and make one run.
Long Shot – 2 Atticus Jack
Race 6 – 6 furlongs, Purse $25,000, Claiming $20,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
5 Almost a Lady – Won a 2-turn sprint for $32K at Fairplex; now returns at Santa Anita for $20K, smart play by John Sadler.
2 Queen Mercury – Claimed by returning trainer Herbert Bacorn; key vote is Rafael Bejarano riding for a small barn.
Long Shot – 6 Lady Fairbanks
Race 7 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf), Purse $47,000, Fillies, 2-year-olds
5 Citizenship – Bob Baffert has other horses besides his graded stakes winners; should improve a lot in second career start.
7 Secret Motive – Solid, logical favorite is clearly the one to beat; Julio Canani giving Saul Arias a live one.
Long Shot – 9 Lady Katfish
Race 8 – 6 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Claiming $12,500, 3-year-olds and up
6 Bruno’s Wager – His last three main track races are all wins; likes to sit in arrears and make one run.
3 Master Chef – Drops to the lowest class level of his career; speedball will go as fast and as far as he can go.
Long Shot – 8 Privilaged
Race 9 – 1 1/4 miles (turf), Purse $50,000, Optional claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds and up
6 Let’s Do It – Shown steady improvement since claimed by Bob Hess; takes the blinkers off and keeps Garrett Gomez up.
4 Romp – Gets class relief in a suspicious drop to $40K; his race two back is fast enough to beat these.
Long Shot – 2 Porfido
Race 10 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Maiden claiming $30,000, 2-year-olds
13 Jones Destiny – Must draw in off the also eligible list; beaten favorite has a lot of early speed in a lousy field.
12 Our Trooper – Tepid chalk in a wide open affair; feel confident betting a low percentage trainer at short odds.
