4 Lika – Tiny edge in an ugly looking field; suspect one can time this with a sundial and not a stop watch.

6 Sheskey – Figures to show some speed in a paceless looking race; bugboy Vinny Bednar looks pretty good on horseback.

Long Shot – 5 Raggin Wood

Race 3 – 1 1/16th miles (turf, rail at 20 feet), Purse $50,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up

1 Jolly Joseph – Edwin Maldonado won 3 races on Thursday; saves all the ground and figures to stick it out late.

5 Deep Play – Darrell Vienna adding blinkers on for this; he is stretching out around 2-turns and should be forwardly placed.

Long Shot – 6 Raya Roja

Race 4 – 7 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Claiming $8,000, 3-year-olds and up

2 Striking Spirit – Iggy Puglisi has had a few memorable moments this meet; he has teamed up twice with Paul Aguirre for wins.

7 Streets of Heaven – Been away 14-montha; let the tote board tell you how live he is, field is so poor he’s the morning line chalk.

Long Shot – 6 Brady Blue Eyes

2 Nofty – Has good tactical speed, but a lack of winning ways; in Friday night racing, speed tends to hold up better.

3 Blue Jay Attack – Even Rafael Bejarano has to pick his spots in some of these races; he’ll get plenty of chances at Del Mar.

Long Shot – 5 Mr. Ornery

7 Tiz Victorious – He has run third 4 times, that’s all folks; some of these races are pretty difficult to decipher.

1 Chezzy Breezy – Dead late closer draws the rail to save all the ground; clearly overdue for a tally.

2 Emerald Gold – This is the toughest race on the card; third start off a 8-month hiatus could be her best.

3 Bella’s Fantasy – Bob Baffert is winning with everything he throws out; no matter what they they like, they run.

2 Full’s Figurehead – Sometimes the less starts the better at this bottom level; showed improvement last time on the drop.

7 Queen Mercury – Leap of faith that Rafael Bejarano knows what he’s doing; filly doesn’t look like much, but he’s riding.
