7 Awe’Some Kitten – Racing first time for a price tag is a solid class drop; Gary Sherluck adding blinkers on too.
3 Hyena – Part of an uncoupled entry from Peter Miller; was flattered when Snackable, another Miller horse, won next out.
Long Shot – 2 French Alps
Race 2 – 1 mile, Purse $24,000, Claiming $16,000, 3-year-olds and up
6 Power Series – Sliding down the claiming ladder to this career low class; speedball will need to keep an eye on Aragorn Sword.
2 Apply – Claimed by Vann Belvoir who adds blinkers on; most importantly he retains Garrett Gomez who is riding great this meet.
Long Shot – 3 Aragorn Sword
Race 3 – 1 1/16th miles (turf, rail at 14 feet), Purse $58,000, Claiming $50,000, 4-year-olds and up
2 Smokey Lonesome – Claimed by Ron Ellis who has an uncoupled entry in here; the other horse is Megastar so keep an eye on him.
9 Atticus Jack – Claimed by Ted West and dropped in class; has tactical speed to sit a good trip throughout.
Long Shot – 5 Megastar
Race 4 – 6 furlongs, Purse $25,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
11 Joyfull Julia – Lost all chance in last when stumbled at the start; second start off a 10-month hiatus, expect improvement.
3 War Excess – Sliding down the maiden claiming ladder to the now or never stage; ran like she needed the race last time out.
Long Shot – 12 Breathless
Race 5 – 6 furlongs, Purse $24,000, Claiming $16,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
7 Queen Mercury – Second start off the claim by Mike Pupye; is spotted one rung cheaper than the price she was claimed.
9 Bila Shaka – Claimed by Vann Belvoir who also adds blinkers on; Belvoir spots his horses off the claim very intelligently.
Long Shot – 3 Sea of Desire
Race 6 – 1 1/16th miles (turf, rail at 14 feet), Purse $71,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
11 Valley Cat – Must draw in off the also eligible list; has won two straight turf routes and finally got claimed, by Robertino Diodoro.
8 Swift Eagle – Impressive wire to wire MSW win; with the turf rail out 14 feet, the tactic can work again for Garrett Gomez.
Long Shot – 12 Unusual Jazz
Race 7 – 6 1/2 furlongs, $150,000 Sorrento, Fillies, 2-year-olds
7 Executiveprivilege – Perfect in two starts, the Sorrento goes thru this Bob Baffert filly; the leader of the SoCal division right now.
6 Speedinthruthecity – Watched the chalk run past her last time like she was nailed to the floor; 2-YO can improve dramatically though.
Long Shot – 8 Switch to the Lead
Race 8 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 14 feet), Purse $70,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 2-year-olds and up
2 Dance Team – Richard Mandella filly is bred to love turf and go long; showed enough talent to rally for second in debut sprint.
12 Wishing Gate – Must draw in off the also eligible list; Tom Proctor has shipped out only live ones, this filly fits too.
