1 Gal Has to Like It – Ship and win candidate has a lot of early speed; Calder horses have a good history of running well in SoCal debuts.
Long Shot – 4 Guidopanzini
Race 2 – 1 mile, Purse $32,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds and up
6 Anabaa Premium – Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; has tactical speed and like the cut back in distance.
2 Street Rocket – Been away since late May; Jeff Mullins got his last two works at Del Mar which should be to his advantage.
Long Shot – 8 Rintoo
Race 3 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 14 feet), Purse $70,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
7 Bromelia – Was a twice beaten favorite under the shed row of Bill Mott; has ability and has an extensive workout resume in SoCal.
5 Remarkable Moon – Returned from a 6-month hiatus last time to run a solid second; showed big improvement for Paddy Gallagher.
Long Shot – 4 Perfecta
Race 4 – 6 furlongs, Purse $30,000, Claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up
4 Runaway Bandido – Woke up with a big effort in last for Dan Hendricks; key question is he is a 5-YO with a 1-for-18 record, not big on winning.
3 Mahogany Ridge – Chased a fast one in Royal Meridian last time; Peter Miller barn has been hot so this one could improve again today.
Long Shot – 1 Big Business
Race 5 – 6 furlongs, Purse $28,000, Maiden claiming $30,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
1 R Doubleday – Claimed in last by Mike Pender who is having a good year; Joe Talamo won 5 races on Thursday, so heís riding hot right now.
5 Cupidís Bling – Tepid chalk is sliding down the maiden claiming ladder to this career low class; John Sadler is capable of getting hot real soon.
Long Shot – 9 Talk N Sassy
Race 6 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 14 feet), Purse $71,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
3 Luckyvic – Bad racing luck cost her a win last time; was stuck inside crying for racing room and got out to rally in the final 50 yards.
6 Highly Rated – Tepid favorite is a good example of a horse who wanted to run long; got a test drive in debut, but two route races have been good.
Long Shot – 4 Red Intrigue
Race 7 – 7 furlongs, $200,000 Real Good Deal, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds
7 Unusual Heatwave – Like a parking lot post in an elongated sprint; itíll allow Rafael Bejarano to clock the speed and tuck in wherever he wants.
1 Rousing Sermon – Heís getting class relief from a bevy of tough graded stakes; his last win came as a 2-YO in a Cal-bred stakes.
Long Shot – 5 Stoney Fleece
Race 8 – 6 furlongs, Purse $28,000, Claiming $12,500, Fillies, 3-year-olds
11 Sense Your Luck – Ran horrible in last racing first time with blinkers on; Mike Mitchell takes the blinkers off, so expect a stronger try.
4 Heartless Honey – Vann Belvoir had a lot of live horses on Thursday but won only one race; this one is also live in a big dropdown race.
